Te Anau;Gardner Burn

PlotLocationNarrative

We landed on small knob at E1138236 N4914927. There is a larger flat area where chopper landed 2nd time, just south of this point, on same spur - a bit more boggy, but less shrubby. Plot is approximately 350m north of heli land, down the spur. Terrain is pretty steep in places, but generally good holds and vegetation present. Route from plot to camp is directly up the spur. Route down to plot involves options. Route down via J165TRACK is steep but ok, some route finding needed. Route via J165Gully takes you down a wee gut, (could be slippery after rain). This is the longest but least steep option.
