From Akitio take River Road heading towards Dannevirke. Go through locked gate at E1888445 N5504295. Follow farm track up the Wakawaihine Stream, for approximately 3.5km. Track crosses stream regularly. Near end track climbs over small saddle and crosses through stream that runs below plot. We parked here due to washout but a track runs up the stream below plot top. Follow that track approximately 300m to E1889960 N5507327. From here plot is approximately 120m uphill at 50 degrees. Carpark waypoint is E1889840 N5507740.
